Using Contactless technology, small value transactions are processed securely at phenomenal speed, so you no longer miss out on sales because your customers don't have enough change. Contactless payments are fast, safe and easy to use.

Our Contactless terminals or PDQ machines are simple to use, hand-sized, robust and if required can be fully mobile. They have been rigorously tested and accredited by all of the major UK banks and can accept all major credit and debit cards.

Ideal for small purchases under £15

  • Provided the total transaction amount is less than £15, a Contactless payment can be used. If the amount is over £15, then the sale becomes a normal Chip and PIN transaction.

  • Contactless payments use radio wave technology to enable your customers to simply hold up their Contactless enabled credit or debit card against a secure reader for payment to be accepted. In less than a second, payment is taken and the amount is deducted from the customer's bank account.

  • 5 Contactless payment transactions can be completed before your customer must enter their PIN code. This helps to reduce the risk of lost or stolen cards and to prove the card is still with its rightful owner. In addition, there is also a periodic check where the cardholder is prompted to enter their PIN code.
